If the oil tank explodes and the top cover is lifted off, the above procedures shall be followed. At the same time, cover the breathing valve and air vents of the adjacent oil tanks with wet asbestos cloth to prevent sparks from entering the tank.

If conditions permit, the oil in the burning oil tank should be transferred to a safe oil tank, but it must be noted that the oil level of the burning oil tank should not be lower than the height of the output pipeline. After the fire is extinguished, continue to spray with foam or fire water to prevent re-ignition.

Generation of static electricity in oil tankers During the process of loading, transporting and unloading oil, the oil tankers that enter and exit the gas station all year round repeatedly wash, contact and rub against the oil tank wall, the crane pipe used for unloading and loading oil, which causes the charge to accumulate and generate static electricity. When the charged body of the explosion-proof refueling device reaches a certain electrostatic potential (generally greater than 300V) due to charge accumulation, electrostatic discharge will occur. In addition, there is an explosive mixture in the surrounding space, and an explosion accident may occur at this time.

The generation of static electricity in the oil tank area. When the oil tank is filled with oil or the oil products are poured between tanks, the bottom oil filling method is generally used.
