Submersible oil pumps are increasingly used in gas stations due to their large head, multiple guns in one machine, and convenient installation and maintenance. They are increasingly being used in new gas stations and renovated gas stations, and are increasingly being used in radical self-priming oil pumps. However, how to determine the appropriate power of submersible oil pumps based on the common characteristics of one's own gas station has become a difficult problem for gas station builders.

It is well known that submersible oil pumps play a very important role in skid-mounted gas station. In addition to being able to complete the work of raising oil products, they are also helpful for the calculation of oil volume in gas stations. High-quality submersible oil pumps can make the calculation of oil volume more accurate, which has been proven in practice. Therefore, it is very important to choose a submersible oil pump when building a skid-mounted gas station. Let's take a look at the three major precautions for choosing a submersible oil pump.

1. Head

The first thing that is undoubtedly the head is the head, which is its main value after all. Unlike self-priming pumps, submersible pumps do not have the so-called "suction range" problem. Moreover, submersible pumps have fewer restrictions on the length and diameter of the pipeline, the number of T-type joints and elbows, the diameter and burial depth of the oil tank, the height of the manhole, and the height from the oil outlet to the oil inlet at the bottom of the fuel dispenser than self-priming pumps.

2. Working medium

The second is the working medium. When choosing a submersible pump, you need to see whether the oil being delivered contains an additive.

3. Number of oil guns

The last is the number of standard oil guns for refueling oil products at the same time and the required single-gun oil output. The key to selecting is to determine the number of effective oil supply guns required. For example, a gas station has 6 refueling guns for each oil product, and the standard oil output of each gun is 40 liters/minute. Assuming that according to the actual situation on site of the gas station and the estimated traffic volume, the situation of 3 vehicles refueling this oil product at the same time is most likely to occur, then the standard flow of the submersible pump can be calculated as 120 liters/minute, and a 0.75 horsepower new enhanced submersible pump can be selected. Referring to the curve of the 0.75 horsepower submersible pump, it can be learned that when 3 guns refuel at the same time, the flow of each gun can reach 10 gallons/minute, that is, 37.85 liters/minute, and the head can reach 67.5 feet, that is, 21 meters; when all 6 guns refuel at the same time, the flow of each gun can still reach 7 gallons/minute, that is, 26.5 liters/minute, and the head can still reach 42 feet, that is, 12.8 meters.
