What Are Aboveground Storage Tanks?
Aboveground storage tanks are large containers that rest on the ground’s surface. They’re designed to hold a variety of liquid or gaseous substances in bulk quantities, such as water, petroleum, gasoline, chemicals, and hazardous waste materials.
In order to ensure their ability to store potentially hazardous substances, above ground storage tanks are generally made of carbon steel, stainless steel and other durable alloys — some of the most durable materials out there.

Precautions for using square oil tanks
The drainage system in the tank area should be equipped with a water seal well; the drainage pipe should be equipped with a valve outside the fire dike. When the oil tank is drained, there should be a dedicated person to monitor and remove the residual oil in the water seal well in time.
Non-explosion-proof electrical equipment and high-voltage overhead lines should not be installed in the tank area.
Fire dikes should be set up in the tank area as required, and the fire dikes should be kept intact.
The top of the oil tank should be free of oil stains and water accumulation. Insulation measures should be taken for the oil inlet and outlet pipelines and valves of the oil tank.
The light-transmitting holes, gauge hole covers, and gaskets on the top of the oil tank should be kept intact, and the hole covers should be tightly covered. The oil measuring port should be equipped with a spark-proof metal gasket.
